MUSIC and EARTH
The Competition is dedicated to Earth Day -the 22nd of April. It is open to the public and takes place annually at the Giant Crystals Hall of Earth and Man National Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria. The funds for the Competition come from subsidies, donations and sponsorship.
COMPETITION GOALS and AIMS
The main goal of the Competition is to stimulate young talents to create and perform a music dedicated to the Earth and its survival.  By their art they will support the formation of a new moral attitude towards Nature, regarding Man not as a sovereign but as part of Nature, aware of the fact that both the present and the future generations have equal rights to use it as a living place and a source of raw materials and energy.
The International  Music and Earth Competition provides a fine opportunity for young performers and composers to take an active part, by the means of their art, in the worldwide movement for building up a new world, sustainable through environmental development, in which people will live in harmony with Nature and with one another.
